Long-time community volunteer will add strength to agency’s cause
Manchester, NH: (March 23, 2020) The Way Home is pleased to announce the appointment of Jim Foster to its volunteer board of directors.
“As we continue to further our cause, Jim will be an excellent and highly valued member of our volunteer leadership team,” said Rick Blais, President, Board of Directors at The Way Home. “He has been leading volunteer groups from Bank of America for agency projects in the past and has been tireless in advocating for our mission. We are very much looking forward to his advice and insight.”
Mr. Foster serves as Senior Vice President/Local Market Manager for Bank of America in Manchester. In that role, he supports the bank’s local strategy and business, focusing activities which build brand awareness and reputation.
“I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to lead employee teams on a number of projects for The Way Home over the years,” said Mr. Foster. “Through that work, I’ve been able to view close up, the amazing things the organization does and the impact it has upon homelessness in Greater Manchester.”
Through volunteer efforts and charitable support, the Bank of America helps to build thriving communities by addressing issues fundamental to economic health and sustainability.
“We are advancing economic mobility by addressing issues related to workforce development and education, community development and basic needs. As a financial institution, we respond in two ways — by helping to address the immediate need, as well as funding innovative longer-term solutions for economic self-sufficiency. This mission very much aligns with The Way Home’s work and I’m thrilled to join their board,” Mr. Foster added.
I’ve had the good fortune to know and have worked with Jim for the past several years,” said Bianka Beaudoin, Chief Executive Officer at The Way Home. “He brings a passion for the work as well as excellent organizational and leadership skills to the table. He will indeed be a wonderful asset!”
