The Way Home works with many other service and funding agencies, as well as government at all levels, to ensure that everyone has access to safe affordable housing. We have provided links to some of these organization below.

 

Manchester Continuum of Care (MCoC)

The Way Home is a founding member of the Manchester Continuum of Care, an association of agencies whose work impacts Manchester's homeless population.  

New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority (NHHFA)

NHHFA is New Hampshire's statewide Housing Authority and plays a key role in administering many federal and other funds to maintain housing in NH. NHHFA was instrumental in the construction of Spruce Keys Family Housing and The Way Home's acquisition of affordable housing in Allenstown.  

Manchester Housing and Redevelopment Authority (MHRA)

MHRA is the Housing Authority for the City of Manchester. MHRA administers Housing Choice Vouchers, operates public housing developments, and works to finance and develop real estate in Manchester. MHRA is a key partner in The Way Home's Veteran housing on Hanover Street.  

Community Development Finance Authority (CDFA)

CDFA supports affordable housing and economic development that activities that benefit low- and moderate-income residents of NH. Among other things, CDFA administered Neighborhood Stabilization Program funds that helped build Spruce Keys Family Housing and awarded The Way Home NH State Tax Credits to fund construction of Laurel Keys Supportive Housing for veterans. 

New Hampshire Community Loan Fund (CLF)

CLF is a nonprofit organization drawing together donors and lenders to finance efforts to make NH's low- and moderate-income households financially independent. CLF supported The Way Home's construction of our 214 Spruce Street Housing Resource Center.  

Manchester Mayor's Office

The Way Home collaborates with a number of City offices to ensure everyone in Manchester can access safe affordable housing.  

New Hampshire Governor's Office

The Way Home served as a model for the legislation creating the State's security deposit guarantee program, and now that and similar programs bolster our core Housing Counseling services.  

Granite United Way

Granite UW provided some of The Way Home's first funding and has continued to support the agency throughout our history. Granite UW funds numerous services through the state and has been integral in initiatives such as 2-1-1 NH and the creation of Manchester's Homeless Services Center.  

NH Coalition to End Homelessness

The NH Coalition conducts and disseminates research on issues affecting homelessness, promotes best practices in homeless services, and empowers people to advocate for the homeless.  

Housing Action NH (HANH)

HANH works to engage a broad alliance in state and federal advocacy toward greater investment in housing and rental subsidies for NH's lowest-income residents. 

Manchester Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC)

Manchester VAMC provides medical and supportive services for qualifying Veterans. The VA also administers the Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (VASH) program, including collaborating on The Way Home's Veteran family housing on Hanover Street. 

New Horizons for New Hampshire

New Horizons operates an adult homeless shelter, Angie's for women, a soup kitchen, and a food pantry, all in Manchester, NH. Health Care for the Homeless is housed in New Horizons' building. In collaboration with Veterans, Inc., New Horizons is also a local provider of Supportive Services for Veteran Families. 

YWCA NH

YWCA provides programming to help youth and teens make healthy decisions, crisis services and emergency shelter for victims of domestic violence and their children, and supervised visitation facilities for children to see their non-resident parents. 

Liberty House

Libery House provides first-transitional housing for homeless Veterans in Manchester, NH.  

Child and Family Services (CFS)

CFS provides a wide-ranging array of social services dedicated to advancing the well-being of children, including a housing support program for young adults aged 18-21. 

Families in Transition (FIT)

FIT provides affordable, supportive, and transitional housing, as well as comprehensive clinical supportive services, substance abuse treatment, and programming for children.
Harbor Homes

A member of the Partnership for Successful Living, Harbor Homes provides a full array of housing solutions in Nashua, NH, as well as Healthcare for the Homeless, employment training, and other supportive services.
