In 2008-2009 services and programs offered by The Way Home included:
- Housing Counseling - 1,093 households, benefiting 2,547 individuals. Out of the 1,093 households - 304 were homeless. Of the 2,547 individuals - 592 were homeless.
- Step to Success Coaching and Skills Training - 122 individuals. Group activities, e.g. money management and cooking classes, community gardening helped homeless and at-risk individuals to improve skills in a supportive community.
- Healthy Home Services - promoted healthy housing in partnership with Manchester Lead/Rehab Program & City Health Department through lead-safe renovation of older housing units, landlord/tenant education and supportive services for at-risk families.
- Community Advocacy - represented low income concerns at the Public Utilities Commission & NH Senate, perserving NH Electric Assistance Program which reduces costs for 35,000 low income households.
Outcomes included:
- 714 of households counseled reported positive changes in budget management
- 226 renters & homeowners attended additional financial management workshops
- 238 tenants were educated on housing safety
- 73 housing units were made safer through Manchester's Lead/Rehab program
- 378 tenants secured an apartment with security deposit loan and/or rental guarantees
- 135 homeownere were counseled on foreclosure prevention strategies
- 16 homeless families (47 persons) were housed in transitional apartments
- 16 chronically homeless individuals received supportive services and housing
