Healthy Homes and Lead Safe Renovation Services

Environmental health hazards in the home can include deteriorating lead paint, pest infestations, mold, and many other substandard conditions. Through our Healthy Homes Services department, we identify housing safety issues and follow up to resolve those issues by combining education, advocacy, financial and technical assistance. In addition, we offer specialized lead abatement services in which licensed lead abatement workers make housing units safe.

Housing Safety and Child Health are linked in our unique services combine peer educators working with families in their homes with resources for specialized cleaning and supportive services to reduce in-home environmental health hazards such as lead dust, asthma triggers, and head lice.
