Supporting those in need

The Way Home announces virtual fund raiser

Manchester, NH: (April 16, 2020)   On Friday, April 24, The Way Home is excited to announce a special fund-raising event in which donors can support a great cause while enjoying a relaxing evening at home with family.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has created a new normal and many of us are sheltering at home,” said Bianka Beaudoin, Chief Executive Officer at The Way Home.  “However, there are many who are less fortunate and don’t have a safe place to call home; supporting that vulnerable population is our daily mission.  That’s why we’ve created this special fundraiser-the Pay to Stay at Home Pajama Gala.”

Beaudoin said that participants can sign up online and make donations of their choosing to The Way Home.  “This is a fun event that you can literally make your own,” she said. According to Beaudoin, participants in the event are also encouraged to post photos on social media and use the hashtags #TWH #PajamaGala.  “Throughout the day we are working on story time, and various other entertainment options between 9:00 am -9:00 pm on the 24th.”

Beaudoin added that her agency has seen an uptick in requests due to COVID-19 and at the same time, is working to prepare for supporting those in need after the worst is over.  “We are anticipating additional needs once the pandemic has subsided,” she added.  “So those who join our cause and make donations are supporting our current work as well what we’re anticipating going forward.”
