THE WAY HOME IS ALWAYS LOOKING FOR NEW AND USED HOUSEHOLD ITEMS

We accept gently used and/or new items that are given to Clients of The Way Home and used when they begin the program and upon graduation.

We are currently in need of the following:

BEDROOM:

 – Twin & Full Size Metal Bed Frames and Foundation (twin & full-size mattresses/foundation and frames)

– Twin & Full Size Mattresses (new)

 – Pack’n’play (new)

 – Bureaus (large furniture cannot be accepted)

 – NEW bedding of all sizes, pillows, sheets, pillowcases, blankets, comforters, mattress covers; curtains

KITCHEN:

 – Kitchen table and chairs (small sets)

 – Flatware, sets of dishes, silverware, coffee cups, drinking glasses, cookware (i.e. pots, pans, baking pans, cookie sheets, cooking utensils)

 – Microwaves, toasters, toaster ovens, coffee pots, can openers

 – Potholders, kitchen towels, dish drainer, ice trays

LIVING ROOM:

 – Love seats, small sofas or futons

 – Easy chairs, rocking chairs

 – Lightweight TV’s, DVD players, TV stands, lamps

 – Curtains (new)

BATHROOM:

 – Shower curtains, bath towels, hand towels, face cloths, bath/tub mats

 – Toothbrush holders, trash cans

OTHER:

 – Brooms, dustpans

 – Laundry baskets, buckets, mops, laundry detergent, cleaning supplies

 – Hygiene products: toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, shaving cream, razors, feminine hygiene products, etc.

FOOD: Non-perishable

 Canned soup, vegetables, beans/chili, tuna/chicken, etc fruit, peanut butter, pasta sauce, pasta, rice, cereal (hot/cold), crackers, fruit snacks, granola bars, coffee, juice, powdered milk, etc.

Gift Certificates (in any amount)

 Will be used for youth and adult incentives, and to purchase household items.

Laptops are needed for our Financial Literacy/Budgeting Classes.

*** Due to Liability, Space, and Cost, we cannot accept the following: Infant furniture, car seats, strollers and cribs, stuffed animals and toys, sofa beds, large metal desks, large appliances such as washer, dryer, refrigerator, stoves, broken, stained, wet, torn, or foul-smelling donations of any kind.
